Stay in a Pub partners with TXGB to deliver a more accessible booking system
The UK’s largest pub accommodation membership organisation – Stay in A Pub – has announced a new integration for its online booking platform, powered by a partnership with TXGB.
The integration provides pubs with a more inclusive and accessible booking system, connecting consumers searching for authentic stays with Stay in a Pub’s growing network of 1600+ boutique pubs with bedrooms, traditional inns and affordable pub accommodation.
By building an API connection to TXGB, Stay in a Pub has streamlined the backend functionality whilst continuing to advocate direct bookings for the pub accommodation sector.
Through TXGB’s direct payment model, pubs will receive direct payments and ‘own’ the customer journey in the same way as direct bookings, a development that has been well received by the sector.
Enhanced search functionality
In addition, Stay in a Pub has improved its online search functionality powered by Google.
Consumers can now look for and book a wide selection of rooms by postcode, region, county or even proximity to an airport or popular attraction.
Search results can be refined by pub facilities, dog and family friendly icons, those featuring special offers, or holiday activity type.
Sophie Braybrooke, CEO of Stay in a Pub, said:
‘Established in 2013 by Paul Nunny, Stay in a Pub kickstarted a movement to celebrate the notable heritage of pubs and promotes the perception of this as a unique, alternative stay experience.
‘With ambitious plans to grow our reach and boost the online visibility of our members, we needed to provide pubs with flexible ways to work with us.
‘The TXGB integration means we are now able to offer a coordinated booking platform that is simple for members to use.
‘This, combined with a more user-friendly interface for consumers, with full search functionality and backed by a comprehensive marketing campaign, we now have the technology and tools in place to drive greater awareness and ultimately, bookings.’
Enabling evolution
TXGB’s B2B digital platform already has API integrations in place with most of the leading booking systems, over 100 regional and national destination websites, niche distribution channels and global brands.
Using this connectivity, pubs and inns with accommodation can now easily and efficiently connect to Stay in a Pub, extending their online visibility and opening opportunities to connect to a broader range of channels via TXGB.
TXGB’s managing director, James Berzins, added:
‘British pubs are an institution and the beating heart of many communities across the UK.
‘In the last few decades we’ve seen them evolve and adapt – and the opportunity in offering accommodation is clearer than ever, as consumers seek out authentic and different experiences.
This is an objective Sophie and her team are completely committed to – working hard to support pubs in this process and providing a channel for consumers to explore the very best the sector has to offer.
‘This partnership is a great example of how TXGB can enable brands to focus on their core mission, investing in the areas that will truly make a difference in their segment.
‘We take the hassle out of connecting to the product and transacting the booking, which can be a huge barrier when trying to innovate and drive change.’
